Refinancing of a residential portfolio

Our client is a fund which owns a residential portfolio which is financed by various financiers. The expiration of a number of loan contracts leads to the need for refinancing. Together with our client we reviewed their long term real estate strategy and the optimisation of their loan portfolio. This resulted in a request for proposal (“RfP”) in which the loan portfolio was split up in various loan parts through which the long term interest rate and refinancing risks are managed in a better way. On the basis of this RfP a new financing arrangement was agreed with their main bank.
