Analysis of the value of a psycho-medical aid organisation
A psycho-medical aid organisation focusing on non-western ethnic minorities and East Europeans had quickly established a network of branches in the urban agglomeration of Western Holland and in the Province of North Brabant. The organisation was approached by diverse potential buyers, some as investors and some with strategic goals in mind. In the light of this, the shareholders needed a valuation of the organisation along with a qualitative description of possible synergy effects for strategic buyers. An operational plan was drawn up, in which an increase in turnover per branch and in the number of branches were the most important sources of growth. This plan was then translated into bandwidth valuations, each based on a valuation method: discounted cash flow analysis, comparable trading analysis and preceding transaction analysis.
