Turnaround (operations) of an organisation providing nursing care, residential care and home care
A Dutch provider of nursing care, residential care and home care was struggling financially. In recent years, the organisation was not able to realise a positive net result. Its operational costs were too high as a result of absenteeism, vacancy in a number of rooms, and inefficieny in the scheduling of the working hours of its personnel. Many of these issues were unadressed for quite some time due to a lack of clear and continuous guidance from management, as top-level managers did not stay in the organisation for a long time. The newest head of the organisation asked Beaufort to assist the organisation with the development of a recovery plan which would help the organisation to become financially healthy again. WIth the help of the thus created recovery plan, the organisation was set on track on realising positive net results in the near future.
