Quick scan and strategic advice for a healthcare provider
A home-care organisation that offers nursing, residential and home-care - with a turnover exceeding €100m - was running at a loss. Results had been strongly affected by changes in laws and regulations, new suppliers entering the market, and a shift to extramural healthcare ('care in the community'). The advice included consultancy baseline measurements and validation of 1) a new business plan, 2) existing restructuring plans and 3) financial results. On the basis of the findings and advice, the client made organisational changes and defined new key performance indicators. The strategy was also modified, including the sell-off of some secondary activities, and this sale was successfully closed.
