Evaluating the solidity of forecasts, screening the work order portfolio and compiling scenarios (including distressed M&A) for a construction company
Despite the crisis in the construction and project development market, the client had achieved positive results in the crisis years. However its work orders had largely dried up and its market prospects were poor. Its turnover was under pressure. Beaufort evaluated the hardness of the forecast, made an inventory of the client’s project development positions and conducted a deep analysis of the order portfolio (work in process). The management was also assisted in drawing up future scenarios, including the sale or partial sale of the company and the sale of assets (holdings in buildings and land). On the basis of these findings, the financier extended its line of credit and the liability was substantially reduced. After the refinancing, various components of the company were sold to a strategic buyer.
