IBR and restructuring scenarios for a company that sells modular units to hospitals and clinics

Originally, the firm was a rental company of mobile units specialised in project management, assembly and sale of (semi)permanent housing for healthcare. Since 2013, the strategy has changed and the focus has shifted from mobile unit rental to the sale of high-tech modular units that are mainly used by hospitals and clinics. The assets were valued much too high, so that it was not visible that the company was in fact substantially loss-making. As a result, the liquidity position has deteriorated sharply. On the advice of Beaufort, an interim manager was appointed with the assignment to sell the company to a strategic party.
