Supporting a metallurgical manufacturer

We supported a production company that is active in the automotive industry and operates internationally. Its products incorporated leading-edge robotic technologies, which were developed in-house. The organisation had a state-of-the-art R&D department, but was facing a substantial drop in demand. Limited credit facilities meant that the production process was hobbled for lack of working capital, which inhibited international growth. We analysed working capital expectations and the related liquidity issue. We then outlined the options for a possible strategic partnership that would contribute both new capital and a network so that the company could achieve growth. This assignment was very successfully completed with a takeover by a strategic investor.
