Organisation in specialized youth care

Issue:

An organization active in specialized youth care (with revenues of approximately €60m) faced three main challenges: declining revenues due to a decrease in the number of treated youths and tariff reductions, an excessive cost base caused by overcapacity and inefficiencies in personnel and housing, and the closure of a judicial youth facility. The organization needed a strategic reorientation and support to secure its future.

Solution:

Beaufort guided the organization in recalibrating its strategy, providing insights into the contribution of activities, and establishing fair tariffs. Additionally, a structural cost-saving plan of €7m was developed, the real estate strategy was reformulated, and support was provided for stakeholder communication and the implementation of the restructuring/recovery plan. As a result, the organization regained stakeholder trust and secured its future.
