A mental health institution specialising in treating eating disorders (operating income of around €12m) was experiencing liquidity problems. Due to the tight liquidity position, care ceiling overruns and discussions with health insurers, the company’s house bank wanted more understanding about the company’s structure and the various components in the liquidity forecast. The house bank requested Beaufort to conduct this study.
With Beaufort’s report, the desired insight was provided and the alternative liquidity forecast prepared by Beaufort turned out, in retrospect, to be more realistic than the forecast prepared by management. With Beaufort’s report, the house bank and the company were able to discuss the possibilities to solve the liquidity problem and the time available to do so.
